i understand what your going through bob1234, but its hard for me to take college classes while deployed but i take little by little and before you know it you'll be good. One or two classes every 8 weeks youll be on the right track and now there even self paced, so even if you have a week long training exersize you can easily catch up, best of luck.

Don't quite think you understand the issue, Salinas. I reenlisted to take college classes, having been informed by NCO's in my chain of command and looking at other unit behaviors and seeing that typically one gets time to just take college classes without having to do a full duty day as well when one specifies that option for stabilization. The fact that I'm required to do full duty days means that I didn't receive any benefit from stabilization and am now stuck in a unit that I've become really disillusioned with. One of the prior posters is also right, as soon as word gets out this chain of command's ability to use the college option as a stabilization incentive will severely decline, and I'm going to make sure that everyone is made aware.
The one positive in this whole pile of crap is that it's galvanized my desire to attend OCS, because someone needs to do better than this and I'm willing to step up and take that responsibility.
