Okay, so I'm in my reenlistment window; I want to reenlist for duty station of my choice. I'm a first-term soldier 31B E-5 BASD: 20 APR 05 ETS: 20 APR 10. I thought that I only had to be at a duty station for at least 12months before I can PCS. I was told by my CC that I won't be able to PCS at 12months. Is this true?

What kind of unit are you in? Is it a LCM?

I'm not sure. It might be. If so, does that mean I cannot reenlist to get out of here for another two years or so? What if I change my mind back to reclassing? I would have to wait for time at this station as well? Whoa... that's CRAZY!

You don't know if your in a life-cycle unit?

There aren't many exceptions for leaving a LCM prior to its end date.

If you were not in a LCM unit, you must have 12-months on station prior to PCS or leaving for school.
