I will have less then 2 years left in the army when i get transfered to my new unit. i was told that i would need to extend before i can even go to my unit, is this correct? Are you allowed to extend with a flag? (flagged for PT, and next pt test is not until december)Plus i want to stay at the unit that i am in, but i can not reenlist due to flag, but they are going life cycle and i dont have 3 years left? wondering what is going to happen?

Moderator, please educate me on this area. It's my understanding that SL is used by HRC for unit's scheduled for deployment, not to man a UA. LCM procedures are outlined in a Policy message on RETAIN. Help me out here, please so I can better understand this answer!
