I have a question in ref. to the current GI Bill transferrability process -

Do I need to re-enlist prior to applying for the transfer, or when I put in the application, if accepted, am I then obligated to complete an additional four years that I can re-enlist for later? The information on the VA page isn't exactly clear as to how the process works, and I'm curious to hear from someone who has dealt with this issue.

Once you submit your application, your servicing Career Counselor gets notification and they have to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements to transfer your GI Bill. If you need to reenlist, they will be in contact with you shortly after you submit your application or you could just go see your Career Counselor if you already know you're short and save time.
