My husband has the choice of the following duty stations: Ft. Hood, Ft. Sill, Ft. Riley, and Korea, which one would you pick and why? I'm not feeling NOT ONE OF THEM, lol. Seriously, I would like too know the wait for housing, I'm most concerned about that, and anything else that you would like to share. Thanks in advance

Ft. Riley has excellent higher education opportunities. It's a bit out in the Styx, but the city of Manhattan, KS is not that bad. If you are from the Midwest, at least you'll be close enough to home to go home for the holidays and that sort of thing.

I would pick Riley because I like the area. Manhattan has an excelent local music scene.
Hood would be interesting because there's a large number of Aikido dojos to choose from. I have heard some negative things about Hood, but less than your other options.
Expect delays in finding housing on or around Riley. There is currently a bit of a shortage.
Well, our initial 3 choices where Ft. Irwin, Hawaii, and Germany, then the recruiter said choose 7. NO LUCK! No slot open for E-5, 92f. So we are stuck with the choices in my previous post.

Personaly I would choose to go to Hood of all those locations. I was stationed there for 3 years. It does get hot in the summer but the post is pretty nice because it is so big. You are only about an hour drive away from Austin. The city of Killeen isnt really anything to write home about but it is definately not the worst.
