My husband was prior service, trying too re-enlist, he got out in 92 when offered SSB. Has been in the reserves both Active and IRR, over too Iraq for a year. Can anybody tell him anything about re-enlisting, I wrote another forum and got no answer. He has taken the over 40 physical, shouldn't have any problems with that, has already got the grade determination waiver, and the conditional release from the IRR to go Active, (the form 368). He knows he will be paying back the SSB if he is excepted. Thanks in advance for any information that is given.

Exactly what kind of information are you seeking?. If he already has the grade determination waiver and the conditional release, it sounds like he has been working with a recruiter. Is he having some sort of problem with the enlistment process?

Yes, he is working with a recruiter. The hold-up is the results of the physical, the recruiter needs a copy, the physical was taken through the IRR not at meps. It was taken early last month, how long does it usually take to obtain results? Do you know anything about that Special Separation Benefit (SSB), how is it paid back, the full amount, pro-rated? I guess I'm just a little impatient, just ready too find out what is what?

If he took his physical at an active duty installation, it could take a couple of weeks for the results to come in the mail, and that's if he requested that a copy be mailed to him. I took mine at Ft. Campbell and had a copy in my mailbox in about 3-1/2 weeks.

The physical was probably done through Feds Heal in which case it can take some time to be approved (months even).

It may be posted to his online records before it arrives in the mail. He can access those records with his AKO login at https://www.hrc.army.mil/site/reserve/.

Is he still mobilized? If so you could just drop a RC/AC packet and forget about grade determination waviers an the like.

Hi guys,
My husband has a current physical on file that doesn't expire until this month, so why can't the recruiter use this physical, it has all ones? He had just taken a IRR retention physical about two weeks prior too talking with this recruiter, I guess he shouldn't have said anything about the most recent physical? I don't know it doesn't make sense too me. Hopefully, the results will come in soon, so he can move on too the next step.
The recruiter also says the SSB will be taken care of after my husband retires. So what
should be his next step, after this physical come in. Have a good day!

Hello!
Well, my husband just found out from his recruiter that they can't use the physical he took through IRR, so he will have too go through MEPS and have one done. Why would his recruiter not say that from the start? What does the over 40 physical consist of, any exercises? Thank you in advance.
