I am in my initial term enlistment contract, and was wondering if I could reenlist 24 months from my ETS date. If so, could I change my MOS at that time because by then, I'd probably be an E5 and wanted to do something in Human Resources or become a Cryptologic Linguist. I wanted to go AGR if I choose Human Resources, but would I be able to enlist into the reserves that far away from my ETS Date.
If so, yes you can reenlist 24 months from ETS to change your MOS (Option 3).
If you are a SPC(P) or SGT, the amount of MOSs you will receive will be less than as a SPC. (There are more MOSs that are understrength as SPC)
It'll difficult to get 42A, Human Resource, but it is currently on the Critical MOS List.
As for the AGR (if you are active), you cannot reenlist into this at all. You'll have to submit a packet at around 3-4 months from ETS. You may have to actually be in the reserves first to get an AGR slot.
