I reenlisted for Hawaii but was pulled to another battalion to go to iraq because my MOS was needed. Now I didnt mind deploying but since I been in Iraq my interest to go to Hawaii is gone. My battalion said that its not a contract breech because the army still giving me a chance to go when I get back to the states(June 22,2009 report date). I want to waive the Hawaii option and try to go somewhere else but they told me I would then be the needs of the army and I would have no other options but the one that the army choose for me. Do anybody know if I can just waive the option and then call my branch to get assignment? Also if I decide to just keep the hawaii assignment is it anyway I can find out what unit I will be going to because on my ERB it just says 25ID replacement schofield replacement.
I would get my Chain of Command involved, see if your CSM can make a call for you or something b/c if YOU call branch they will probably just change it to whatever they want not to where you want to go.
