I put in a request for reclass and it was denied. So, my next course of action is to attempt to get duty station of choice. I would like to get Presidio of Monterey, CA, Fort Irwin, CA or Fort Huachuca, AZ. Yes, I am a native of california. I hold PMOS 92A. Im a SPC non P. How hard would it be to get one of these posts? I want them in the order that i wrote them. If anyone can help me out i would greatly appreciate it. Hope to hear from you soon since i only got a few weeks so i can get my bonus tax free. Thank you in advance.

HRC denied the request due to the class seats being full (68P request).

from what i know, ft. huachuca is almost impossible to get and i am not sure about irwin...we had a 92f re-enlist for irwin and he got it...but have you ever been to either of these bases and actually spent some time there before you considered them?

No i have not spent any time in these bases. The reason for my request is I just want to be close to home for a change. With Irwin i will be 3 hours away and Huachuca will be about 12 to 13. I am shooting for Presidio of Monterey but i know thats going to be a difficult to get.

Irwin should be pretty easy to come by and Fort Huachuca is getting easier to get now that a unit deploys.

Slim to none ... request it and see if there is a valid/open slot for your MOS/rank. Worse they can say is "not available".
