11B, SGT, B Zone. I want to know if it is possible to extend or reup for 12 months at current duty station. The reason is I plan on getting out. However I want to change my residence for college and I have to be a resident for at least one year to get in-state rates.

Thanks

yes you can actually, all you have to do is go through your chain and get the commander to sign off on it, theres more to it than that but thats it in a nutshell!

If you are in your 24-month reenlistment window? If you reenlist for 12-month stabilization, the minimum reenlistment period is 3 years and you're only guaranteed 12-months of stabilization.

The chain of command cannot make this happen without reenlistment.

It's YOUR career! Take control of it before someone else does.
