Under the new policy do you still have to be within 24 months of your ETS to reenlist or does youe ETS have to be on or before 31 March 2012.

No longer have to be within 24-months of ETS ... as long as your ETS is prior to 31 March 2012 and your not within 90 days of ETS (or flagged), you should be good to go.

Thank you for the reply. I have tried to reenlist, but my Rentention NCO and the Career Counselor told me that I have to be within in my 24 month window. My ETS is Jan 2012. Can you point me in the right direction as far as the AR or MILPER message that says I know longer have to be in my 24 month window.

I think just with the knowledge that you are within your reenlistment should suffice. Your Career Counselor knows that reenlistment is open to all Soldiers whose ETS is from now up to 31 Mar 2012. If need be go see your BDE Retention.
