SIFT Qualifications

Greetings all,

So I have been working on my 153A packet for about a year now, I took the SIFT last spring and scored a 49. I wasn't very happy with my score but I knew 40 was passing so I wasn't worried. I have been trying to obtain LOR's for quite awhile now and I finally came in contact with a Colonel that will set up an interview with me.

While we were talking my SIFT score came up and he said that the passing standards will be going up to 50 instead of 40 soon and that I would really need to get my packet in asap in order to avoid a re-test.

Does anyone else know about this? If so, do you know when exactly that rule will change. I would really hate to have to re-take the test again, especially since I have been working on this packet for so long. On the plus side, it would give me an opportunity to achieve a score that I know I am capable of, but I don't want to cross that bridge unless I have to.

Weather he is right or wrong a year is too long to be working on a packet.

A good plan today is better than a perfect plan a year from now. Get it in.
