I just completed WLC last year and went to the SSG promotion board in July '05. I am promotable, but I didn't expect to be selected so soon.

I am really not feeling 16 weeks of TRADOC and Fort Gordon. I'd rather eat a barrel of artichokes instead.

This is my advice and my adive only:

If you are afforded the opportunity to advance your education (military or civilian), do it. With the way deployments are going, you'll never know when you'll be able to attend.

I was slotted for ANCOC in June 2005, but because I was deployed to OIF, it was cancelled and hasn't been rescheduled yet.

It's YOUR career! Take control of it before someone else does.

I would say definately take advantage of it. Right now, depending on your MOS, we have some openings in classes, but just recently got done with numerous maxed out classes, and even had some people who we couldn't handle. I would say that with all the deployments and everything, its best to take the chance to go when you can because you never know when you will have the chance for it in the future. Also just a hint, things here at the school house are pretty quiet but in about a year or so, we will start some major changes and I wouldn't want to be one of the test classes. Just my $0.02.

I am a 25B20. BNCOC phase II will be essentially a review. I went through the COHORT training, which was somewhat aligned with the 25B BNCOC, mainly the Cisco Academy.

Thanks for your input.
