I was released by my branch and have a class date for my reclass mos but I am told by my battalion that I have to go to an ALC for the branch that released me because my ALC class date is before my reclass date. If someone can tell me if this accurate please let me know. It seems like a waste of time and government money.

sounds plausible. But your Schools NCO could cancel your ALC date.

But what do you care? Pad the resume. You can't stay in the Army forever, add it to your "skillset"..
(even if it's a garbage course, potential employers won't know that. )
