i'm a little regulation stupid here, can anyone help me understand the regulation for senior wings? i've got 10 yrs holding an avation MOS, but not 7 yrs of flight status. would i be authorized sr wings? one flight ops NCO is telling me yes, while another is telling me no.. and i cannot figure out the reg...

8–26. Senior Aircraft Crew Member Badge For award of this badge, an individual must be on flying status- (physically qualified-class III) and serving in one or more of the following positions: crew chief, airborne electronic sensory system operators or supervisor, flight engineer, observer, aeromedical physician assistant, medical aid person, gunner, aircraft maintenance supervisor, or technical inspector and meet the following criteria: a. Successfully performed 7 years on flying status (not necessarily consecutive) in one or more of the principal duty assignments listed above. Only time involving frequent and regular flights will be counted toward fulfillment of this requirement, except that time involved in transit between PCS assignments will also be credited. b. Effective 1 January 1993, soldiers may qualify for the Senior Aircraft Crew Member Badge for 10 years of experience (not necessarily consecutive) in one or more of the positions listed above. Soldiers in career management field (CMF) 67 and 68 military occupational specialties may also qualify for the badge after 10 years of experience. The retroactive date for this badge under this criteria is 1 January 1983. c. Displayed complete competence in the principal duty or duties performed leading to this award. d. Attained the grade of E-4 or higher. e. Be recommended by the unit commander of the unit to which presently assigned.

This one?
The part I don't fully understand is the 10 year part.... since i've not changed my mos, and always work my mos, but not on flight status, does that mean i qualify?

no let me clear the air.... you must meet either a b or c maybe d.... look it up yourself, you will see most people will stop reading after a.... nobody ever reads past the point where they can say nope you dont get it.... trust me on this one I am still fighting to get my senior wings.. well now I am just waiting on the COL to sign off on the orders.. after 4 months and having to show people how to read I have my S-1 on my side... dont give up..
