Ok, ask me whatever you want to know while the experience is still freshly embedded in my brain!! LOL I went last Thursday and what an adventure that was. Duck walk...NOT as easy as one might think!! HA!

Yes, unique is definitely a good way to describe the experience! lol I was one of 8 females and what seemed like 100 guys. Met some interesting characters, that's for sure. I couldn't get over how young those kids were-not just age but mentally. What really blew my mind was when the other females said they couldn't do push ups!

I think I had the same experience. I was coming into the MEPS at age 34, well almost 35 really (gray hairs and all) and felt like I could be 'mom' to most there. When I was checking in at the hotel the night before, the military liason was giving me the standard talk about not staying up late, no partying, no causing trouble... and I thought, you've got to be kidding me, right?!

Squat all the way down until your butt is resting on your heels and your knees are off the ground. Interlace your fingers on top of your head, and try your best to walk forward.

I am really amazed at some of the characters that show up down at MEPS. I talk to the MEPS personnel all the time.....and the stories that those guys have are amazing.
Just a detail recruiter, thank you.

I went through jacksonville MEPS from Daytona Beach... it was... ok to say the best. Unorganized and way too many males. The hotel was party central. I was just stressed and wanted to focus. HAH.

The good ol' duck walk. I went through LA MEPS in Cali and that place seems like it's always full. I remember I went through with this one girl and she wanted to hook up so bad. I shoulda went for it, bummer
