I AM A 15Y IN MY RE-ENLISTMENT WINDOW AND AM LOOKING TO RECLASS. BUT I AM ONLY BEING OFFERED PRIORITY GROUP 1 AND 2 JOBS. I WOULD RATHER GET OUT THAN DO ANY OF THEM. AM I REALLY LOCKED INTO NO OTHER JOBS EXCEPT THESE OR IS THIS CAREER COUNSELOR JUST TRYING TO FILL HARDER TO FILL JOBS?

This is a FALSE myth.

Your Career Counselor is not "selling" you anything besides an opportunity to extend your contract by reenlisting.

Your Career Counselor in all actualities is the middle man between the Army and the Soldier. We do not get rings or medallions for "selling" different programs. We're straight shooters ... you're offered what the Army offers.

That being said ... what do YOU want? Be specific? Do you want to be 15U? Do you want to be a 42A? Try to be a little more specific.
