I was sent a message from my LT that talking about 25F being given options to reclass within a year with the possibility of being forced into reclass. My questions are: I just got my orders to PCS and was told that the 1 year or else doesnt apply to me because of that, is that true? Also how long will have i have to wait on my new station until i can reclass? We are badly overstrength and I cant get promoted to SGT. I wanted to reclass to 31D (CID) but need some more college hours. ANy help or advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Whoa. What does this mean for those that are considering ETS'ing? I have just over 1 year left and I am seriously considering just riding out my last year and going the ETS route. I may not want to reclass. And they can't force me to reclass because I won't have enough time left to do so???

Really? What's the service remaining requirement (SRR) for the new MOS? Or is it just a SRR for the school course.

You're not "exempt", but probably not the top of the list. If they are phasing your MOS out, now's the time to choose your own MOS before they choose it for you.
