I'v been deployed for almost 12 months now and still haven't came up with my answer yet, i hope i can get some in put. OK, My ETS date is in July. I would like to go warrant officer. I don't want to re-enlist and for some reason not make warrant and get deployed as 11B again. the options in my head are get out and come back in as warrant officer or reclass and from my new unit drop my packet from there. Is there any quick and safe way to this.

I would like to go for helicopter pilot

I was the Career Counselor in an Aviation Brigade in Iraq a couple years ago and we had many Soldiers submitting applications for flight warrant. A couple Soldiers I assisted made the list on their third try; so if you're not picked up the first time, there's still hope.

There's a board every two months and I believe 153A's are selected on each board.

But, would i have a better or worse chance dropping my packet from a civilian or active duty. Even if i don't get picked up from civilian i still have the chance to enlist as a new MOS

Active duty.

Don't think that if you ETS you can come back in under a new MOS. The Army will not spend money to retrain someone who is already trained just because they got out and want to come back. You'll be considered prior service and will be the lowest priority for anything.
