The odds are good with the out call for 92A20 being a Yes. Make sure when you do that 4187 you put my name on there as well. I want out of this dead end MOS.
I just came down on assignment to Germany and even though I want to reclass I really would like to see how Germany is. And don't want to lose my chance.
I have done everything on my end. My question is can i put some kinda request on where i want to go. Another thing is that i already speak couple of languages and it's posted on my ERB will that be a factor when i will get assignment?
All soldiers are entitled to outstanding leadership; I will provide that leadership.
Currently the language is not a requirement for the MOS. It shouldn't effect whether of not you get the MOS. It will help you down the road. They are talking about bringing back the language requirement, so If you change over after they change it, then you will need one. Also, I'm not sure what you know about the job, but you had better be prepared to go on a lot of patrols right along side the 11Bs. I am currently serving as a 35M(97E) THT (Tactical HUMINT Team) Squad leader at fort lewis in 3/2. Most of the 35Ms are assigned to a THT in direct support of a battalion.

I am in an infantry brigade, so what I do may be different from what those in an MI BDE or an MI BN may do. Basically, we do what any other Combat Arms or Combat Support MOS does in garrison. It's the basic motorpool mondays, whatver details come up, CTT training/tactical training, and MOS training. I'm not going to get into the actual MOS training because this is an open forum, but If you look, you can find it all in the regs on line. We also interact a lot with the Line units we support because we have to know all their SOPs on how they do various tasks, like room clearing, because they are the ones we will deploy with. On yeah, I almost forgot. we go to the field just as much as any other job too, mabey even more. You see, when our company goes to the field, we have to go with them. When our supported battalions go to the field, we usually go with them too, so we kinda get it on both ends. But it is a pretty good job, and you will have a lot of training opportunities with this job. Also you get a lot of career opportunities on the outside.
If you have any more questions, just PM me.
