Ok heres my awkward situation, Im a first elistment soldier (E-4) that has been to the MMRB for my drastic hearing loss. I was found unfit to stay an 11B but before I could go through with the reclass I was deployed( w/ 1 days notice). Now 5 months into my deployment word came down again that I need to reclass. But now I am sick of being jerked around by the military and will not reenlist, brigade says I have no choice and have to reclass but I doubt the army will pay to train me in a new MOS and not get their money back. Also I am stop lossed now until june 09 but my original ETS was Jan. 09. I was also asked in the begining of my MMRB if I wanted A. To get out B. Reclass or C. Fight to stay in the infantry I choose to get out but was told back then that since I recieved a bonus that wasnt possible unless I could pay it back. I read a while back that if your medically discharged now you dont have pay back your bonus. The conclusion to all of this is that I would like to know what the Army is going to do to me and how do I try to push my medical discharge? This is obviously a very confusing situation and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Seems to me like they have no choice, but to let you get out...think about it you are stop lossed until after your ETS which means when you come back you should be able to just come back and start your process to get out, get your physical so that you get some percentage from VA for your injuries and be done with this.

Thats what my Reup NCO said but because of what Ive been through I have no faith in the Army. I think that they will try to keep me in my current position and jeoperdize my hearing completely because all they care about is there numbers.

You cannot reenlist anyway.
You will not be reclassified whie deployed and you won't have enough time left when you retun. You may, however, be retained to complete disability evaluation.
Well Im being told that Ill either be sent back to our duty station to start VA, and outprocessing before my original ETS. Or stay until the deployments over in which with all the outproccessing requirments Ill even be held over my stop loss ETS date.
I agree its a bad situation and I'm getting the short end of the stick. I didn't pass the soldier readiness portion to deploy either, but they told me I had to deploy anyway. As far as my chain of command their going to do whatever's in their best interest Thats why I'm asking for your guidance oh' wise one
