Okay so, I have a school date July 09, to reclass, now I have tried contacting the branch manager for my new MOS so I could notify them about my son being put on EFMP. I wanted to see if there were openings at Ft Hood for my MOS. I'm already stationed at Ft Hood and I would like to stay there cause I know the hospital there has everything my son needs. When I emailed the POC of the branch they told me I had to talk to the reclass NCO. They gave me an email address which didn't exist. So I wrote back and said hey the email doesn't work so they gave me a number. I was just wondering if ArmyReenlistment could do me a favor and check to see if there are openings at Hood for 88N and what kind of chance do I have to stay at Ft Hood for my son.

I'll check for openings, but you'll need to go back through your Career Counselor to get this process started.

You'll need to request TDY and return and since you've already reenlisted, I'm not sure the likelihood of this getting approved.

Okay thankyou, yeah I haven't gotten any word on anything. I just know that I have school in July and complete in Aug. So I guess I'll go talk to my career counselor and see what can be done. I thought I automatically went to school and then returned with orders to whereever and cleared out. I'd much rather just return to hood and stay there, but yeah I know ow it goes. Thanks again

Well I give a little update, I talked to my retention NCO and she put in for a TDY and return for me. I asked her bout FT Hood, seen how we are from Hood, and she told me that Most likely I will get to stay considering on Monday my wife is enrolling my son in EFMP for his asthma. So hopefully it happens. I like the area and wouldn't mind buying a house.
