Are the MOS's in red only shortage training for reenlistment purposes? I know school slots differ from personnel entering the service and those currently in service.

For 35P with AD or PF, what is the wait for training and will this be off the shortage of training list anytime soon in your opinion?

I'm not sure the exact percentages for enlistment/reenlistment class seats, but the enlistment class seats are a greater percentage.

35P will not be coming off the list anytime soon.

With a waiver I'll be promotable sometime in August. I read the MILPERS message that last posted for June 08, and I see that for E5 they are letting out and with E4's they are only letting in, but not out. I guess my question was more of less has that changed since then?

But currently no sir I am not promotable.

When you are promotable, you can extend under the BEAR Program if everything remains the same. Nothing has changed since the June 2008 release.

Other than the BEAR Program, if you are an initial term Soldier, you can reenlist for Option 3, Army Training Reenlistment Option.

Hey AR, I got a couple questions, but i think i'm f***ed =( I'm a 94F which used to be on the shortage list but is currently balanced. Promotion sucks for the most part and I have already re-enlisted Mad my mistake there.
I'm an E-4 (P) I'm now thinking about a career outside of the army and i was offered a job at a police station and i'm wondering if i can reclass to a 31B? Thats an MP, right? Theres better oppertunities for promotion and its atleast relative to what i want to do in a few years.

Is there anyway I can get into that MOS other than re-enlisting? Any help you have would be greatly appreciated!

MP is better for promotion are you serious?? Have you seen the number of people waiting to get promoted?? Have you been watching the points??

Ok let me edit this post. I see that you were offered a police station job, now under stand being an MP is not just working patrol, pulling people over, and all that jazz that happens about 1/4 of the time, do you like the field, ranges, long hours, no long weekends, and holidays, if you think you will get all of them, please think again. Now there are a select few that know the right people and get put in Garrison, but if you like your time off, actual weekends to hang with your family or friends, because you might get days off but a Tues and Wed is hardly time to hang out and go to the beach with your friends or where ever you hang out when they get the normal Sat and Sun. Now I am not bitter, because I love my job just I see people re-class to MP because they love the sounds of it then whine and complain when they get it because they don't get weekends and holidays off. Oh and if you like working a 12 hr shift get ready to go home and end up in the ER because of someone stupid and you end up with a shoulder sprain or a broken nose (happened to me a the Duty Officer, he got the broken nose) come on over to the MP side. Smiler Oh and another thing, don't be scared to get physical with someone!!!!

You can submit a voluntary reclassification through your Career Counselor. HRC is the approval/disapproval authority.

Not all the time AR Smiler But it sure helps so people like me that are assets with the extra level of force don't have to get hurt because another patrol does not want to get rough with someone that is being stupid. Big Grin Trust me I have written a few statements as to why I have put a few people in the wall because I forgot that there was a camera in the hallway.. Razzer
