I recently reenlisted to reclass from a 92w to a 15t. I am currently in school and will graduate in June. I am on assignment to Fort Drum with a report date of July 10th.
Here is the issue. My son is enrolled in EFMP for severe hemophilia. I have contacted Fort Drum EFMP and faxed them all the appropriate paperwork and they informed me they will be unable to accept my son at Fort Drum. I called my branch manager and told him the situation and he informed me they couldnt do anything for that I would have to go through my Retention NCO.
Isn't branch able to make changes to assignment ? Will my retention NCO be able to do anything for me ? Is there anyone else I should talk to to try and get this fixed ?
I just reenlisted to reclass. Since I reenlisted to reclass I did not have an option of duty station. So I didnt reenlist for Fort Drum no. It wasn.t even one of my choices on the so called dream sheet.
Because you reenlisted to change your MOS and were TDY enroute, you MUST contact your Career Counselor so they can submit a request to HRC to have your assignment changed.
If you need some help contacting your Career Counselor, send me there name and location and I'll get you their information.
