I desperately want out of my current mos. problem is i can't reenlist and reclass until december, because my current mos is understrength. However, the mos i want to reclass to is also understrength. Is there anyway to get around this problem... short of selecting an application mos?

Although both are shortage MOS and both are the same priority, you'll be able to change your MOS frmo 63B to 11B once you are within your reenlistment window. A voluntary reclassification will not happen now because you are already in a shortage MOS.
There are currently class seats available throughout FY09.
The language code was in reference to Epic Honor's request.
Not to be a party pooper or anything, but just because you select an application only MOS and get excepted is not a gaurantee release from your current MOS. Trust me I know all about that, and my MOS for my rank isn't even short. If anyone has any different information than that, please provide it. Lord knows I have been looking for a regulation on that, and so far all I found was AR 614-200, and the Latest IN/OUT call message, and branch seems to just ignore what those two say. Sorry, just another venting session. But the above statement is true to my knowledge, you can't just apply for an MOS and expect your branch will release you. Thanks for you time.
I don't know if staying in the current unit is an option unless that flip the bill to send you to school, but it's a good possibility that you can reenlist for Option 3, Army Training Reenlistment Option for 35N.
oops. What I meant to say was, to reclass and come back to this unit
Anyways, the problem is branch won't let me out. But I don't have enough time to meet the lifecycle, which is now 24 mos last we heard. But I don't want to move to another unit. I like it here, I just don't want to be a linguist in the wrong language that gets tasked out to all the bitch jobs...so that's why I want to be a 35N instead.
