I've been doing some further reading on the forum, and trying to figure this out. Can I re-enlist for Option 3 (trying to reclass) and receive deployment bonus (currently deployed) while trying to go RC/AC route, or Option 3 is not on the table under RC/AC program?

I did rc to ac, you will get only the current enlistment bonus if you are spc or below in your current mos if it is a critical or needed mos. No training given unless you have an odd mos/ overstrengh in ac. you may get choice of station.. and you have to do this program when you get back into the states upon demob, no contracting in iraq

Can someone tell me how long the process takes for RC to AC? I am in the KY Guard, prior active Marine 8 years and have been in the Guard over 2. I have been active Guard about 18 months of that with deployment (but not AGR). My command says the conditional release can be done pretty quickly on their end. I'm an 11B, wanting to go into the AC as 11B as well.
Also the post above said SPC and below get the current enlistment bonus, but I'm a SSG so any idea what the bonus will be? Sorry if I should have asked that specific question in another category!

Edited to add, I came off mobilization orders on Oct 20, and then went on ADSW from Nov 1-March 18, am I still able to participate in this? Thanks

Maybe 30 days or so...a resident program expert will be along soon.

I am currently mobilized and will be demobilizing very soon (the next 10 days) My recruiter back home told me that since RC/AC requires section 2 block 6 of the DD 368 to be signed by a general officer and because I am so close to demobilizing to go directly through him and skip RC/AC because The signature I had gotten on my DD368 from the G1 SGM was sufficent for him to get me onto active duty. Is this true or am I still going to need that signature from a general to complete the process of going from RC to AC?

I talked with Alexandria yesterday. They said they need 21 working days to process the packet once it gets to them.

Get your packet ready as far in advance as possible and submit 6 months out.

I know that RC/AC tells you to submit your packet 6 monthes prior and send it to them 21 days before you demob but i wasnt aware of this until lately because my S1 had told be differently so I got started late. I had emailed an active duty recruiter back home and he had told me since I have only 10 days left until I will be home just to submit it to him because I only have to go through RC/AC while im overseas and mobilized. He also told me that the rule about my DD368 needing a general's signature was only if I submitted my packet through RC/AC and the one that I have signed by the G1 SGM was all he needed. I'm just making sure what he says is true and i'm not going to return home and find out that my packet is no good without that signature
