I'm a 13D looking to reclass as a 25B. Looking at the charts and such it seems both MOS's are understrength. I'm currently serving a tour in Iraq, going on the 7th month, have 12 months in service, am a PFC with 3 months time in grade. I'm not sure exactly when my reclass/reenlistment window opens and also not sure if I can leave one understrength MOS for another one. I meet the qualifications for 25B, have a physical profile of 111111 and a GT score of 131 and a Secrety clearance. What it really comes down to is I want out of my MOS. 25B was what I wanted when I originally enlisted but they didn't have any openings. I don't want a bonus or any other incentive and I will absolutely not reenlist without a reclass and would be willing to add 5 years to my contract for this job. I tried to speak to my reup NCO today but he's at a different FOB for a week or so. Any help on the subject would be appreciated.
