i sent in a psyops packet which was approved and now im on assignment to ft. bragg for october of 08...my problem is that my unit deploys in september of 08...what concerns should i have in respect to stop movement and operational deletion?..i know milper message 06-232 states that im exempt from stop movement but im concerned about the possibility of operational deletion because of lack of understanding of what it is

i dont really understand...whats is the difference between operational deletion and stop movement...i know im exempt from stop movement but am i exempt from operational deletion?

Operational Deletions are more of a voluntary process whereas Soldiers and commanders can request an individual Soldier be released from whatever is going on because they would benefit the Army where they are now.

so i have a say in the matter?..im asking because it seems like it can be used as a way for my commander to get around stop movement which im exempt from

Commander's have abused this in the past, but HRC will have to weigh what's the best interest of the Army/Soldier.
