Hi there. I'll do my best to sum up my situation as briefly as possible. I am a 25F with about 32 months served on a 48 month contract. I plan on serving the remainder of my time and ETSing to go work for my father. (This has always been my plan which is why this question is important to me.) I am in the middle of a PCS (I leave in one week) out of OCONUS back to CONUS. During my clearing phase at my current unit I was made aware of the MILPER Message regarding a mandatory reclassification of 25F due to how over-strengthed it is. This is alarming news to me and I need some advice regarding this message. As I mentioned I am getting ready to PCS and will be at my next duty station within two weeks time. I was made aware by a career counselor at my unit of a "time on station" requirement of 2 years which can be waived to 1 year for the purposes of reclassification. As I will just be getting to my next duty station and by the time the one year is over I will only have 3 months left of my enlistment can I still be forced to reclass? Secondly, if I can still be forced to reclass that leaves me with about 15 months time left in service. And, as I understand it, SRR's are based on the time you have AFTER you complete school. Does this mean I will have to comply with AR 614-200 Table 4-1 that gives course length times in relation to your SRR? Are the ways the SRR can be waived if you are a couple months short? If I MUST reclass then there are jobs that I would like but I do not meet the SRR in a lot of cases because I am so short on time left. I know it's a lot information and I appreciate you answering all the question I have asked here, it is a BIG help to me. Thanks again
