I have a family friend who is interested in one of these 2 MOS's. I really dont knowing anything about specific requirements. I have to have a Secret clearence for mine... Does anyone know if either of these requires a clearence?

Deadeye something I recently learned is what AR just said. Some assignments also require a clearance I am a 92A(Supply) and got an assignment that required me to get a clearance and I don't know how in the world I got it but they granted me one and I passed through. I don't know what they look for when doing those clearance checks and background checks because I did everything under the moon and got one. Wish I could get those other perks intel get like a decent promotion rate to SSG.
I know what you mean... I am still waiting on my clearence to come through and its been 2 years. Which leads me to another thought...
What if, for conversation sake, I didn't have a clearence or it got denied for whatever reason and my reenlistment deadline is drawing near??? Do you have to change to an MOS with out a clearence or get out? Could the Army reclass you if you are in a jopb that requires one but you don't have one? lol

Of course they can. If you are in a job that requires a security clearance your MOS is dependent on you having one. It's no different than graduating from AIT. You will be given the MOS upon graduation. And usually if you read MOS orders given at the end of AIT that require a clearance, they will say "this MOS is awarded upon graduation AND granted security clearance." So if you get denied, your MOS orders are invalid.
You would be given an option to choose various MOSes via your career counselor but the Army can pretty much reclass you to whatever they need.
Not sure how that would work with your re-enlistment, AR can chime in on that.

If your MOS requires a security clearance and you lose the clearance through your own fault, you will be processed for separation.
In most cases the brigade commander will disapprove this separation and initiate an involuntary reclassification. You'll get with your Career Counselor and select up to four MOS that you qualify for and it'll be submitted to HRC for determination. You'll be assigned the earliest class date you can attend.
