I am going for the 21P MOS. I passed the test and have submitted the application packet. the new MILPER message states that current MOS needs to have a Y under out. 92A hasn't for a whlle. I'm a Sergeant with 10.5 years. Is it possible to reclass out of MOS to 21P? I can't believe I may have to ETS in 6 months and having missed such an opportunity.

Is it Y/N or N/N? I am assuming N/N from the way you worded the post.

As I stated in another thread (http://community.armystudyguide.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/7581093521/m/4751099532/r/1501092632#1501092632)

The reg states that you can re-up in the BEAR program for 21P. I'll leave it to Army Re-up to let you know if that paragraph has been changed or whatever.

92A is N/N. I am a C zone Soldier. I have a zero for bonus but 21P is in the BEAR program. Armyre-up had replied to me that I would have to go through regular reclass. Not sure why. I'll have to ask him to explain it to me. There has to be a way. Thanks

Just because an MOS is in the BEAR program doesn't mean all ranks can apply. If there is an SRB in the BEAR then that is what they need. There isn't an SRB for C zone SGT for 21P so you can't reclass by the BEAR program.

okay. so it leaves me to wonder if I will be able to reclass out of my 92A balanced MOS. I'm calling my Branch Manager tonight to see what she says. I'm sure there is a waiver or something for me to make it into the 21P MOS, being eligible in all other areas.

thanks. I'm anxious to get it going. I'm prepping up though. I know this is no easy fight. I can't wait until I get the paperwork taken care of and the school date.

21P has been added to the Priority List so all eligible Soldiers may apply without regard to current MOS IN/OUT calls.
