So I was read the Fast track message again for 25F and the date was, I believe, 12 May. I am obviously a 25F and I am due to PCS on 3 May. How will this message effect me? I was told I'm not allowed to reclass due to me being on order for my next station. Also, I believe I'm not eligible for a reclass till I have 1 year time on station at my new unit. It is a 4 day here so I really can't contact anyone about this for a few days but I am pretty worried about it. Can any of the career advisers or anyone else here give me some advice or things to expect? They are saying 2500 soldiers will be reclasses to needs of the army. Thanks.

Yep, fast track for 25F will end on the 12th of May at 2008. We're telling our 25F's to get with the retention NCO's ricky tick unless they want to be reclassed to needs of the Army. I'm not a career counselor or anything, but that's just my two cents.
trust me, I want to reclass. I just won brigade soldier of the year, but it doesn't mean shit when my points are at 798. My question is what can they do for me given the fact I'm due to PCS in a month. For the record, I am going to Fort Sill to 31st ADA and I do not want to be stay here in Europe any longer. I have marriage plans and can't afford to pay my own way or put it off any longer. My ETS isn't until 2012 too fyi

Correct, you cannot request the reclassification while on assignment instructions and you cannot LEAVE your new duty station prior to being on station for 12 months; you can still request reclassification for a school date AFTER your 12-months is up.
Some advice ... shoot your current Assignment Manager an email with your intentions and a detailed email (don't sound whiny either) with your circumstances. Also, PM me your SSN and I'll personally contact and send this information to your new Career Counselors so that can initiate your reclassification procesing as soon as you inprocess.
Army Reenlistment..did you recieve my PM about the questions about your reply as well as my information? Just curious..the dyas are getting short and just wondering

In regards to my previous question, I talked to the LTC up at HRC and was told because I am going to a valid slot, that I won't need to reclass, as I will be untouched by it. However, once all these 25F reclass im sure the mos will change over to balanced, how will this affect my chances of reclassing to either 31B or 31E (with intentions of going 31D)? And also which mos does it seem like will be easier for me to get by putting in a reclass packet?

Very good information. Did you get a name by chance?
As far as your chances of reclassifying in the future; if you're looking at CID, get with your local CID detachment and start your interviews and training as soon as you can. Although 31B is a feeder MOS to 31D, you're looking at years to get 31D if you go that route. Focus on CID instead.
LTC Osburn..not sure about the spelling but thats who I talked to. Right not for CID i'm just working on college. I interviewed with them before and told me once I get the hours i should be all set. Thanks for the help.
