I am a 13D SGT midterm, have 5yrs in. I want to reclass to MP, I have 3yrs remaining to my reenlistment contract, I do know that 13D sgt in/out calls are N/N and 31B SGT is Y/N so I do know that they are understrenght. I want to put in a 4187 to reclass. I can get a MP 1SG to recommend me to become a MP, What are my chances of this happening? Where can I find a copy of a 4187, So I know what my 4187 has to look like. Can anyone tell me if there is any schools in FY08 also.
Are you planning on returning to your present base, or trying to go to another. I reclassed also, but do not have a 4187, because I did it as a re-enlistment option. I remained on the same installation and needed a letter of release from the brigade I was in and a letter of acceptance to the MP brigade from the CSM's of each. Chief_marquez_77, How do you like being a MP? also I would like to PCS and I cannot reenlist at this time due to I am not in my window, I have 3yrs remaining and I dont want to stay my MOS any longer.
I love it... its a great Job with many opportunities for career advances. Its a fun and hard job, hours are different than regular work hours and demanding, and depending on the type of Unit one is assigned to, you may go to the field and deploy alot "as I have", or may be assigned to a Garrison Unit that primarily works the road. But either way, its the same mission just in a different perspective. We get along just like any other unit, good and bad apples....
