I just gotmy P3 status and the Process for MMRB is on its way. I want very much to stay in the army, have great scores(ASVAB 120, DLab95,) I have carpal tunnel so bad from being a 92G. Even though my profile says I cant carry a weapon right now and I know this makes me nondeployable, will I have a shot at reclassing?? I was CA in the reserves and have some education as well as EO school, WLC,( I'm and E4)
Thanks, so much!!

Everyone's probably thinking it... I'll ask it... You can get Carpal Tunnel working as a COOK?? Eeker Weird...

Also, what is CA?

Don't worry, you won't get kicked out. Yet. The MMRB is kind of a buffer between Active Duty and the MEB/PEB. If during the process of the MMRB, they think you might have some issues that reallly need to be looked at, they'll refer you to an MEB. THEN you should start fighting for your future. My advice: Get well soon. Get whatever treatment and rehabilitation you need, prove your worth in your current MOS, or reclass.

They are letting amputee's remain on active duty...and in a couple of cases they have been redeployed to combat. So, I don't see how your situation will require a discharge.

I would have to applaud you Charfadi. You are probably asking why... Well just for the simple fact that you want to stay in and not just ride your P3 all the way out the door. Most soldiers I know would use that profile to the max and get out and be magically healed.

Personally, I love cooks. Especially in Iraq where KBR has taken over and all the cooks pull our guard duty!!
