That is a good question. Does the time spent on recruiting count as verified leadership time since you take a civilian fresh off the street and train them in the basic tasks to become successful in BCT?

While I'm definetly not the approval authority, I would venture to guess that a successful recruiting assignment would qualify as leadership time. http://asc.army.mil/career/programs/nco/default.cfm - Info pertaining to the MOS. I can answer most questions you might have. Over 50% of the force structure is SFC though (MTOE) so in my opinion, yes promotion rates are good. If you don't like paperwork however, this is not the job for you.
