I am currently a 91M and I am well within my 2 year window to re-enlist. My MOS is now over-strength and I can't stay in it. I am trying to reclass from a 91M to a 31B. I have been told that initial term soldiers may reenlist into a balanced MOS as long as they meet the requirements, does anyone know if this is true? And if so what would stop me from reclassing?
I just looked at the current In/Out calls for E5 31B and its N/N. Unless MP is added to the updated BEAR message, then there is very little chance for you to reclass to that. Sorry.

Thats not necessarily true. I think you should go see your Career Counselor, and see if there are any 31B class seats. You will be required to go see the Provost Marshall or equivalent where you are located for an interview. Go to your Retention office and get the process started.
