If you don't mind me asking why are you requesting information on 21Y Skill Level 1. Are you going to A.I.T.? This is MOS one of your choices? Just asking this is my MOS

There are NCOs and then there are Paycheck collectors. Which one are you?

May I ask if you are ARNG,AD, or Reserve? I am a 21Y myself and since my return from AIT have (at E-2) Become the Brigade Map/Land Nav/Map Reading Guru... Comically enough my instructors favorite phrase was "Just because we make'em Doesnt Mean We can Read'em" In those cases I suggest jumping into your correspondence courses and flat out hittin the books. Also, Applied Analysis in my experiance (1 9-month deployment and 1 year M-Day) Is totally different. (specially given I am in an Aviation unit, and my cycle seemed to focus mainly on ground movements, as opposed to HLZ's, Airfields, etc...) My Instructor never had any issues answering questions so trust me. You will probably benefit more by asking many questions.
