i'M an Instructure here at Aberdeen. Only advice I can give is to listen to the instructure and read the book and don't be afraid to do a IV you have to to pass.

Its a requirement in my unit. So, its pretty easy, I stuck an IV into somebody on the first stick, most people miss the vein, and I didn't, hehe, yeah i know, Im bragging.
Combat Lifesaver Course is fun, just remember to have good veins shown in your arms, or you might have to get stuck in your wrist or hand, because I got mine stuck in my wrist, and the guy missed, yes, it sucked.

On the evening of the seventh day the Lord looked over His creation and saw that it was good. He said, Let there be a breed of great warriors to protect the people from evil. They shall ride beasts of iron and steel and speak with breaths of fire and destruction. They shall be feared by all that is evil. The people shall call these warriors who are masters of their beasts

Just remember to volunteer to get stuck first. You dont want your buddy trying to stick you when he/she is mad becuase you jacked his/her arm(s) all up. Had to get mine done on top of my hand because my veins have too many valves in them....too bad they figured it out after he tore up both arms. All in all, a good school to attend.
Rub some dirt on it

What a good course!! You must be getting ready for a deployment!! The course I went to was all right. The instructor showed us some discussing pictures. I don't know what was the point of that. I can learn without throwing up (I didn't throw up). I thinking it was a way to get us thinking in the medic mindset and to be ready to see anything. You are probably nervous about the IV, I was... just pay attention to the instructor and ask for help if you need it. Try to get with a partner that you trust and has steady hand. It was good training. Good Luck.
