I'm an E4(p)that reenlisted for occupational therapy last october. the class date I originally had got cancelled so now my class date isn't til apr10. there is a class coming up in Aug and they have 2 open seats. my deros is also in Aug. Now my career counselor is saying I'm not eligible for the school b/c of my "P" status. He said its in AR 600-280. I searched this AR and found nothing of the sort.
Is it possible for them to allow me to go to the august date instead of april? What actions must I take to do so?

Did you have the "P" when you reenlisted or did you get that recently?

I got it straightened out, the retention nco didn't know what he was talking about. I called the school house and they told me that I could have a "p". but now....
I reenlisted last year for occupational therapy, an asi to 68w. My deros was 09AUG09 but I'm extending b/c the class doesn't begin until April2010. My unit is suppose to deploy in december. At first they were going to leave me on rear d so I can attend the school but now theyre talking about me deploying. If I deploy I won't have enough time left to attend the school. Can someone tell me my options or what may happen. I'm not trying to extend or reenlist again for a school I already reeenlisted for.
