My question is when would a soldier beable to take leave if they were to attend 31B AIT between OCT 3 to JAN 8. I am transitioning from 35F to 31B through reenlisment and was trying to figure out when and for how long I can take leave aside from the three or four days for thanksgiving and two weeks for Exodus.

You want to take leave during an AIT. I don't think that will happen. You should get Exodus but I don't think there is anything for Thanksgiving. You might get a few days off but leave it's self and miss the classes your re classing for you should be able to take leave after you complete AIT. I was put into a 31B AIT and you will get your weekends if I remember right if there is no training and your nights are free from what the basic/AIT soldiers have to do.

Unless it's emergency leave, you will not be taking leave while in AIT.

If you need to change school dates, see your Career Counselor and they can submit a request to HRC.

basically when you are in the IET environment leave is not really an option unless its emergency leave, your moreso taking on the rules of that ait and they dont even get the full 4 day weekends!! but good luck i hope they let you take it!
