Question on this 20 Week issue. I am in this All branch AIT. Where everyone comes before active duty and I mean everyone. This includes counting all 5 branches plus their Guards and Reserves, the foreign students and civilians. My question is, if you to no fault of your own end up having to stay more then 20 weeks (but your course is only 12 weeks) can you request to have your family move at Government expense? Basically, here the class slots hold 48 and active duty Army gets kicked out of their class seats if the other services show up with more then the Army expected. And of course the Army is even overbooking slots.

Technically NO. The class itself must be 20weeks or more. BUT you might ask around and see if anyone's done it. And/or ask your command if they would authorize it for you.
