I'm going to my AIT in DEC and am overweight, I reuped to reclass last Oct in Iraq and this was the first available spot. I have been on profile and injured basically the whole time Ive been back and just recently had my ankle surgery. I heard there's a possible waiver from your PA for injured personal? I'll check when I get off of con leave but my 1sg is threatening hes gonna cancel my school and leave me sol.

Make sure that you have your paper trail and your ducks in a row. Keep the forum posted, if you could help one person on the forum it would probably come back to ya. Its called Karma. In the mean time use extreme discipline for what you eat and stop drinking juice, full strength colas, and alcohol, and substitute with water. That is THE easiest way to ax calories. Good luck man.

If your 1Sg does move to cancel your schooldate, talk w/ your S-1 about the regs and maybe see CSM.
1SG might be justified in doing it, so you need to figure out and/or get ready for school fast.

And Don't drink soda at all.
Time after time they've watched people who drink "diet" sodas keep as much weight as those on regular soda. They THINK they're taking in less calories so eat more. ?!

That's what he should have done way before he busted tape. Just cutting back on calories isn't going to help much at this point. He needs to diet and find a way to do some serious daily workouts that don't aggravate the ankle injury.

You don't have surgery one day and wake-up fat the next. You're still responsible for watching your weight even if you're on profile. That's the message someone on this forum should take away...not if he found a loop-hole for being fat.

I never denied having a lack of discipline when it came to making sure that I was still in reg's. Yeah I'm kinda looking for a loop hole right now to help me out because between me being jacked up and gaining the weight I am a bit behind. I was just wondering if there was some reg out there that helps people that are in my situation. I've been a damn good person in this unit for almost 5 years now with the only negative thing being that I'm a big guy! It would be nice for them to help me out when I need it, seems I'm skinny enough to fight and go to war for the army but I'm to fat for the army to fight for me. They weren't threatening to cancel my deployments on me cause I was was injured and overweight. A little bit bitter, hell yes I am.

You'll make it if you eat like a chick, not like a guy. Get yourself back on track.
