They should give you credit for the civilian portion of the M6 course they will fast track you to the army side of the house which is all the field training. Now I do mean should I was shafted out of getting credit for my EMT license. But you should play it smart and get your RN before coming in and go officer, make more money and get treated better.

I know when i went through basic training 11 years ago, there was a female that was LPN certified and only had to do basic. After basic she went to her first duty station. Now, I know things change over time. But its worth asking.

We had a couple LPNs in my medic class. Upon graduation, they were assigned as medics, not LPN's.

You have to get M6 in your contract, otherwise you will remain a medic. Thats the way the military works- if it's not in your contract, it doesn't exist.

And the honor graduate will not be selected for M6 school. Thats just an ugly rumor.

From my understanding, Active Duty is unable to initially enlist 68W M6. USAR soldiers can enlist 68W M6.

Perhaps your recruiter can bring you on board as a M6 under the Civilian Aquired Skills Program.
