Is this true? It's an ASI school for all MOS's. I need some way to get that into his head. He's saying the only school I can get is a reclass PMOS school... nothing else.

Let me get this through your head. Air Assualt school is not a DOD school so there for it is not a reenlistment option for ASI or SQI training. You can request Airborne training if your MOS is needed in an airborne unit.

A Soldier can't get Airborne training under OPT3 unless he's able to go an airborne unit?

Is the snarkiness really necessary? Just quote the regulation and be professional.

Where does it say that in the regulation? Again, I'm tired of hearsay especially from people like you Riley. I didn't find it in the reenlistment program regulation. Maybe I overlooked it. I need to get to the bottom of this.

My appoligies for my prior remark been working 20 hour days here in the sand box. But it isn't in the regulation. If you would like to go to AA school then ask to be stationed at FT. Campbell there you can get AA school.

It jsut isn't a reenlistment option.

Speaking of Air Assualt school, what are the chances of dropping a 4187 and it getting accepted?? And if it does get excepted does that mean a PCS to Campbell

Thanks for the help Riley, it seems nobody can actually answer the question and as such will not allow me to reup for a super school. I'm already Airborne qualified so that option is out. I guess I'll just reup for something simple... location SRB.

Where I am at its highly recommended that all the soldiers that are able attend air assault school so I know for a fact there has got to be tons of open spots at Ft Campbell.

You might not be able to get AAS under option 3. But it could be possible that your chain of command would approve it as a Command reenlistment incentive. Hold out until they give you what you want (especially if it is something as simple as AAS). When i was reenlisting, they told me what I wanted was "impossible". I held out, said I wasnt reenlisting unless I get what I was asking for (I wasnt kidding either). I got what i wanted. Dont give up.
