Hello, I was curious if anyone had any info on RIP. I was told that after Airborne School I would be picked up and start RIP immediately. However, according to ATTRS I graduate Airborne March 26th and the next RIP class doesnt start until April 12th. So, will I start RIP immediately after Airborne or will I sit around at Benning for a few weeks waiting? Any info will be helpful. Thank you.
You will go to RIP the day of your graduation from Airborne school, the RIP cadre will pick you up. You will than go to the Ranger compound up the road and in-process. From there you will get the weekend off usually depends on how ate up your class is, and than on the following duty day you will begin to do details until your class begins. You will have to take another PT test at RIP before you start your class, if you dont pass you dont start. You have to get 80 percent in each category. Everything else they will teach you so just arrive in shape.
Thats what I figured. Do you know know, will I have nights off until RIP starts? Or will I be kept up like in BCT? PT test wont be a problem, Im currently scoring 280s and once im done with Infanty AIT and Airborne Im sure Ill be hitting the 300 mark again. Do you have any other advise that will help make RIP go much smoother for me? Thank you very much.
