Signal SGT,

I would say sure, if your HQ's is somewhere else in the nation.

I wouldnt consider it an "overseas" or "combat" deployment however. Most soldiers consider "deployments" as being in a combat zone. But soldiers stationed in Germany, Korea, Japan etc are considered "deployed".

I would say if your HQ's or unit you are assigned to is elsewhere in the nation or world, then yes Tampa would be a deployment. But if your HQ's is in Tampa, I would say Tampa is not a deployment.

Since it's in the United States, can families accompany the soldier?
