It would be interesting if you could get the same DA "Bean counter" to give the stats on those Soldiers who have deployed and what percentage has conducted repeated deployments vs. those 40% who found ways to avoid a tour in the Sandbox or Afgahn-land. I did two tours and sometimes I feel like I need to go back because so many of my buddies are on their 3rd and 4th tour. I feel like I haven't pulled my fair share of the weight. But I am stuck like chuck awaiting the MRB results.

I could have sworn I saw an actual article that had these percentages, but sadly, I am unable to track it down. Anyway, here's a "poll" of people and how often they've deployed. Also, included at no extra charge for today and today only, is the article stating how 40% of the Army hasn't deployed yet. Enjoy!
Camp Victory. First deployment... 2007-09 Rock on.

Currently on my second deployment to Iraq. This tour has been 15 months and spent entirely at FOB Falcon with 4th BDE 1st ID.
My first tour was during OIF II (Jan 04 - Feb 05) with 2nd BDE 1st CD. It lasted 14 months and I hopped around from Camp Victory North (now Camp Liberty) to Taji to Fallujah with the Marines to Babul.

been over there 3 times already was stationed at Arifjan and did convoys into Iraq anywhere to TQ, BIAP, Taji, Ballad, Spicher, and just about every where else equipment need to be hauled too. Now I will actully be stuck in Iraq dont know where yet but I hope its in a crappy area.
What if you're of the 40% who has tried to go, well, anywhere, to no avail? Last unit: my unit was slated to deploy, and I wasn't placed on list no matter how much I asked. (the unit was dropped from deployment anyway for still unknown reasons) New unit, let everyone and their aunt know that I was willing and capable to go anywhere, no dice. I contacted branch, no dice. Oh well....
