I will complete my 15month tour in Iraq in mid Jan09, I reenlisted for dog handler school while i was here. My follow on assignment is Korea with a report date of Aug 09. Does this violate the 12 month stabilization? I called branch they set my carear counseler can call someone, and she said its branches job. Also, is it fairly easy to get command sponsored so I can take my child with me?

By reenlisting for the ASI, you "waived" your dwell time. You did not reenlist for Option 2, Current Station Stabilization.

It's YOUR career! Take control of it before someone else does.

What 12 month stabilization? Did you re-up for stabilization? Korea is not a deployment.

korea may not be a deployment but it is a overseas tour, and it does not count as part of your dwell time. But if so, who can I contact to help get reassigned, i talked to the carear counseler and she said call branch, i called branch and he said its the carear counseler cause it was a reenlistment. Im willing to go just about anywere as long as it isnt dependent restricted. All im trying to do is get more than 3 months with my newborn son before leaving them again. (please save your "quite being a bad soldier" or you reuped suck it up" answers, Im just looking for legit help. thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you should be able to use your one-time "get out of jail (or Korea) free" card and turn down the assignment by signing a Declination of Continued Service statement. I know a guy that did that instead of going to FT Drum, but the downside is that you are blocked from promotion, reenlisting, or any other special actions. If you go to this site: http://armyreenlistment.com/dcss.htm
It states that you are still eligible to get another assignment, providing you have sufficient time left to complete it.
