I recently found out that my replacement is coming 2 weeks early. I have been given the option to leave early.

The story problem: I arrived in theater 21JAN08 and am projected to leave 18JUL08 (180-day tour). This is my first deployment.

They are saying I can leave on 01JUL08.

So, If I leave 01JUL08 instead, 17 days early... what am I potentially screwing myself out of?

Will it affect the necessary time for my first combat stripe?
Will it affect my dwell time?
Will it affect anything?

Anyone who knows the answers to my questions, I would much appreciate a response...

If you leave country 1JUL08, it will still count as the whole month. Anything before that you will not get credit for July.
