We are here in hawaii with the 25ID and we have 2 brigades here... 2nd and 3rd brigade. My husband is with 3rd and they came back from iraq in oct 07 and 2 months later 2nd brigade deployed and are due back in Feb 09. My question is can they deploy 3rd brigade again before 2nd brigade gets back?? All that will be left here is REAR-D. I would think they would wait until right after 2nd gets back but not 4 months before they return. So if anyone has any info on that please help me out

Yes, they can deploy both brigades. We were in Ft. Carson and 4th ID left first with 3rd ACR shortly thereafter. I am not sure why it would matter if the post just had Rear D but when all the units deployed in Ft. Carson the guard started using it for training so we had a lot of guard soldiers around. You still will have the Rear D elements from both Bragades plus any seperate or attached units not included in the deployment i.e. MPs, etc. My friend's husband is an MP statined here at Schofield and they aren't deploying as of yet. Hope that answer helped!

Yes, 3rd BDE has orders to deploy this fall. Your husband should of already been alerted for deployment. Here's what was released awhile ago:
